FAQ Page

You have questions, we have answers!

What can I expect as a new patient?

As a first time patient, we recommend you schedule a full comprehensive oral examination with one of our staff, where we will access your dental health, history and goals. We take the time to explain where and why we recommend each dental treatment.

What if I had an examination previously?

Because we have not seen you before and have no history of your dental health we would still be required to perform and initial dental examination to confirm if you require treatment of any kind. Some dental insurance companies will cover initial examinations, you should check with them.

What does my new patient exam include?

Every new patient examination includes an in-depth look at your teeth and mouth, going over past oral history, and any explanations about past or future treatments. The new patient examination does not include a cleaning by a hygienist.

Can I bring x-rays from a previous dentist?

You can transfer any old oral history to us during your first examination, however anything older than 8 months may not be an accurate representation of your current oral health. In order to get a more up to date view, we may require new imaging of your teeth.

How can I direct my bill to my insurance company?

If you have dental coverage form your insurance provider, make sure to tell our receptionists before your appointment so we can submit your claim to your insurance company when you are finished. The insurance companies will cover you at your eligible coverage amount, and you will be required to pay the difference.

If your plan does not allow assignment of benefits, you will be required to pay the total amount for your treatment on the day; we can help submit your claim for you so you get reimbursed directly by your insurance.

I’m not a patient but can you submit a dental estimate for me?

Due to privacy reasons, we cannot submit a dental estimate if you are not a patient at our clinic. We may be able to provide estimate costs for dental treatments for you to call your insurance provider and check your coverage.

What insurance information do I need to provide?

In order to bill successfully to your insurance provider, we will need: The carrier name, group/plan number, ID/subscriber number, and the full name and date of birth of the policy holder.
